Family Youth Interventions Rapid Re-Housing (RRH) program is a HUD funded program. FYI’s RRH program is a scatted site apartment program, housing homeless young adults ages 18-24. While involved in the program participants will have access to many supportive services. RRH is a housing first program, this means we do our best to help young adults overcome housing barriers (no income, criminal record, prior evictions etc.) and partner them with landlords to become housed and self-sufficient.

To be eligible applicants must be 18-24-year-old and meet the HUD definition of homelessness. Those who are literally homeless and live in Macomb County are prioritized, due to funding requirements.

Who is eligible?

Young adults ages 18-24 who are literally homeless. Proof of homelessness is needed.

What does this program do?

We can assist with rent for up to one year. We can also provide assistance with things like utilities and employment. The goal is for you to be self sufficient and remain housed, at the end of your time in the program.

Can I live anywhere?

You must find housing within Macomb County. Housing can consist of an apartment, mobile home, or a house through a private landlord.

Do I have to pay rent?

Yes. You will pay 30% of your monthly income towards rent, to start. Every three months your income will be reevaluated, slowly increasing your payments, so at the end of your lease you are financially prepared to pay rent on your own.
